About this idea
The elf has built a mischievous fort by stacking all the sofa cushions upside down in a tower or zigzag pattern on the floor. Add stuffed animals sitting around it like the elf is hosting a silly meeting or tea party. Preschoolers will giggle at the chaos and beg to rebuild or play in the cushion creation.
What you'll need
- Sofa cushions
- Stuffed animals
- Small blanket or scarf
- Optional: small tea set or toy cups
How to set it up
- Remove all sofa cushions and arrange them in a tower or zigzag pattern on the floor.
- Place stuffed animals around the base of the cushion structure to look like they're sitting in attendance.
- Drape a small blanket or scarf over part of the cushions to look like a tiny tablecloth for the elf's tea party.
Tips & variations
- Let your preschoolers help rebuild the fort in their own creative way after discovering it.
- For extra fun, hide a small note or treat under one of the cushions inviting kids to join the 'elf party.'
