About this idea
The elf hosts an underwater dance party with toy sea creatures! Position the elf as DJ with a tiny speaker (or drawn boombox), surrounded by toy sharks, fish, and ocean animals arranged in a circle. Add blue fabric or paper for water waves. Include a sign: 'Doo Doo Doo Doo! Dance Party Tonight!' Optional: add colored paper fish cutouts on the wall and print tiny Baby Shark family photos.
What you'll need
- Small elf doll
- Toy sea creatures (sharks, fish, etc.)
- Blue fabric or blue crepe paper
- Small speaker or paper boombox drawing
- Sign with 'Doo Doo Doo Doo! Dance Party Tonight!' (can be handwritten)
How to set it up
- Lay out a circle of toy sea creatures on the floor and place the elf doll in the center as the DJ.
- Position the small speaker or paper boombox next to the elf, and drape the blue fabric or crepe paper around the circle to look like water waves.
- Place the 'Doo Doo Doo Doo! Dance Party Tonight!' sign prominently where it can be easily seen.
- Optionally, hang colored paper fish cutouts on nearby walls and display printed tiny Baby Shark family photos around the scene.
Tips & variations
- Use colorful streamers or glitter to make the scene more festive for preschoolers.
- Let your children help arrange the sea creatures and create their own paper fish cutouts to add to the scene.
- For extra fun, play a short Baby Shark song loop while your kids enjoy the scene in the morning.
