About this idea
The sneaky elf has been busy on someone's unlocked phone! Swap a few contacts in a spare or old device (or use paper cutouts as 'evidence') — Mom is now 'Supreme Overlord 👑', Dad is 'WiFi Password Guy 📡', and the tween is saved as 'The Chosen One 🧝'. Leave the elf posed smugly next to a handwritten 'log' of all the 'improvements' it made, plus a sticky note: 'You're welcome. —Management.'
What you'll need
- Spare or old phone (or paper cutouts)
- Pen or marker
- Paper for log
- Sticky note
- Elf doll
How to set it up
- Write a funny 'log' of contact name changes on the paper, listing the original and new names with playful titles.
- Place the sticky note with the message 'You're welcome. —Management.' next to the log.
- Position the elf doll smugly next to the log and sticky note, looking like it’s proudly presenting its 'work'.
- If using a spare or old phone, display it with the changed contact names visible, or arrange paper cutouts to mimic the changed names.
Tips & variations
- Use a phone with a locked screen to add to the mystery — the family will have to figure out the password to see the changes!
- For younger kids, use paper cutouts of phone screens with the funny names written on them for a simpler setup.
- Add small stickers or drawings next to the elf to enhance the playful, mischievous vibe of the scene.
