About this idea

The elf has gone full Tune Squad mode overnight! Prop elf wearing a tiny paper #23 Bulls jersey, tongue sticking out (a small paper tab), mid-dunk over a pencil-eraser 'basketball'. Surround with Looney Tunes mini drawings (Bugs, Tweety) as the crowd. A hand-scrawled scoreboard reads 'Monstars: 77 — Tune Squad: 78'. A sign says: 'Nobody steals the North Pole's talent without a comeback!' Use paper, markers, and a small ball.

What you'll need

  • Paper
  • Markers
  • Small elf doll
  • Pencil with eraser
  • Small paper ball

How to set it up

  1. Cut out a small #23 Bulls jersey shape from paper and tape it to the elf doll. Attach a small paper tab to the elf’s tongue area to stick out. Place the pencil with its eraser side up as the basketball hoop and balance the small paper ball on the eraser as the ball mid-dunk. Draw simple Looney Tunes characters like Bugs Bunny and Tweety Bird around the scene as the crowd. Write 'Monstars: 77 — Tune Squad: 78' on a small scrap of paper and tape a sign that reads 'Nobody steals the North Pole's talent without a comeback!'

Tips & variations

  • Use colorful markers to make the Looney Tunes characters more vibrant and fun for preschoolers. For an extra challenge, let kids help draw the characters or write the scoreboard numbers. If you don’t have a small elf doll, you can use a paper cut-out elf or a small stuffed elf toy.
