About this idea

The elf appears to have had an epic marshmallow snowball fight while everyone was asleep! Scatter mini marshmallows all over the kitchen counter or table, create small 'forts' using cereal boxes or mugs, and position the elf behind one with a few marshmallows in hand. Add a sign that says 'You should see the other guy!' for extra laughs.

What you'll need

  • Mini marshmallows
  • Cereal boxes or small mugs
  • A small sign that says 'You should see the other guy!'
  • Elf doll

How to set it up

  1. Scatter mini marshmallows all over the kitchen counter or table to look like a recent snowball fight.
  2. Use cereal boxes or small mugs to create tiny forts around the scattered marshmallows.
  3. Position the elf doll behind one of the forts with a few marshmallows in its hands as if it just participated in the fight.
  4. Place the sign that says 'You should see the other guy!' near the elf for a playful touch.

Tips & variations

  • For extra messiness, use larger marshmallows or even cotton balls to mimic snow.
  • Let your preschoolers help scatter the marshmallows and build the forts for added fun and involvement.
  • If you want to extend the theme, hide a few small marshmallows around other rooms as a treasure hunt for the kids to find in the morning.
