About this idea
Your elf opened a chaotic coffee shop in the kitchen! They've stacked plastic cups into a wobbly tower, spilled brown pom-poms or chocolate cereal 'coffee beans' everywhere, filled toy cups with 'coffee' (chocolate milk or brown water), and left tiny handwritten signs like 'Elfpresso - 1 Hug!' Create a mess scene with the elf wearing a tiny paper barista apron, surrounded by their coffee chaos.
What you'll need
- Plastic cups
- Brown pom-poms or chocolate cereal
- Toy cups
- Paper for signs
- Small paper apron
How to set it up
- Stack the plastic cups into a wobbly tower on the kitchen counter. Place your elf at the base of the tower, wearing the tiny paper barista apron. Scatter the brown pom-poms or chocolate cereal around the floor and counter to look like spilled 'coffee beans'. Fill the toy cups with chocolate milk or brown water and place them next to the tower, adding a few tiny handwritten signs nearby like 'Elfpresso - 1 Hug!'
Tips & variations
- Use food-safe items if young children will be playing with the scene. For an extra challenge, let the kids help rebuild the cup tower after the elf 'closes' the coffee shop. You can also add a small notepad and pencil for kids to write their own funny coffee shop signs for the elf to 'post' the next day.
