About this idea
The elf lies flat on the kitchen counter in a pile of flour with arms and legs spread wide, creating a perfect snow angel shape. Small flour handprints and footprints trail across the counter showing where the elf walked before making the angel.
What you'll need
- Small amount of flour
- Kitchen counter or flat surface
- Camera or phone for photos
- Elf doll or toy
How to set it up
- Sprinkle a small pile of flour in the center of the kitchen counter to form the shape of an angel—spread the flour out to create wings and a body shape.
- Place the elf doll flat on its back in the center of the flour pile, with its arms and legs spread out to mimic a snow angel.
- Add small flour handprints and footprints trailing away from the elf to show its path before making the angel—use your fingers to gently press flour for each print.
Tips & variations
- Use just a small amount of flour to avoid mess—less is more for a subtle, magical touch.
- For extra fun, let your preschoolers help make the angel shape and footprints with you, turning it into a bonding activity.
- If the flour looks too thick, gently blow or brush it to create a softer, snow-like appearance.
