About this idea

The elf has hijacked the TV remote and taped a tiny handwritten note to it: 'DANCE MODE — no one is exempt!' Surround the elf with Bluey and Bingo toy figures all posed mid-dance, arms and legs out. Scatter paper 'dance floor tiles' cut from colorful construction paper around them. A sign propped on the couch reads: 'Dad said no dancing… the elf said YES.' Pure Bluey magic.

What you'll need

  • Elf doll
  • Bluey and Bingo toy figures
  • Construction paper (multiple colors)
  • TV remote
  • Sticky notes or small piece of paper and tape

How to set it up

  1. Cut colorful construction paper into square or rectangular 'dance floor tiles' and scatter them on the floor around your sofa.
  2. Position the elf doll near the TV remote, and tape a small handwritten note to the remote that reads: 'DANCE MODE — no one is exempt!'
  3. Arrange the Bluey and Bingo toy figures around the elf in playful, mid-dance poses with arms and legs stretched out onto the paper tiles.
  4. Prop a sign on the couch that reads: 'Dad said no dancing… the elf said YES.'

Tips & variations

  • Use markers or crayons to let kids help decorate the dance floor tiles for a personal touch.
  • For extra fun, record a short dance video or play a kid-friendly dance song while setting up the scene to enhance the playful mood.
  • If you don’t have Bluey and Bingo toys, use any favorite animal or character figures your child loves to fill out the dance party scene.
